I just finished reading this: Daemon News : BSD in a Microsoft Office and got to thinking about the trouble that I've been told that I would have if I ever actually try (which I plan on doing) to get DBC faculty, students and staff to switch elements from paper to computers. The writer of that piece actually had problems associated with trying to convince his coworkers to switch platforms . The problem is an interesting one and one that I believe closely parallels when I will face later as I try and convert the Dubois faculty and staff to a paperless office. The question is what do you do about it ? Ultimately the problem is one of training. Ultimately, we will need to do extensive training , however , this shouldn't be a problem if we structure things correctly in the first place . If we pay close attention to documenting our efforts along the way there shouldn't be a problem . As a side note , this is my first blog with voice recognition . There were some problems with recognizing the words , however , there weren't many .
