So, lots of stuff has been going on with the family in California. problems pretty much abound... but ulitmately, I believe that there will be a peaceful resolution that will make everybody happy. Due to the fact that I'm not sure that this blogging capability is "secure" yet... I'm not going to say more than that... but reading about this later... perhaps I'll know what I was talking about.

Remember that storm that I thought was really cool last Friday (7/18)? Yeah... it ate the "Internet" port (everybody else in this world would call it an uplink port). Linksys did an RMA replacement on it though and I just received the replacement via FedEx today at DBC. Very cool. After I finish this, I am going to disable ICS on the XP box upstairs and swap out the equipment. Hopefully... the new equipment will work.

I'm making a mental note to myself though... I need to get in touch with the Adelphia office to try to convince them to trade out our cable modem as I believe it is "squaking"... Probably due to their own lack of attention to properly grounding the cable line. Eh, wtf... not much I can do about it... ya know? I did, however, pick up a gas tube surge supressor from Radio Shack... not too bad for $4 I figure.
