Today was a relatively relaxing day... the first one that I've had in months. Today, it snowed and I spent most of the day trying to keep my head away from anything and everything related to any of my work environments. It's a tough thing to do for me. When I wasn't trying to block out working thoughts... I was either watching TV w/ Vikki or attempting to rig up Christmas lights for our first Christmas in our new house. I still have two wreaths to hang in the front windows, but the outside lights are taken care of... One of the things that we got that I thought was pretty cool was a set of outlets on a stake that also has a light sensor. The best part is that the sensor turns on a timer that turns off the lights after a specified time period. Since it gets dark at about 5pm, I set it for 6 hours... or did I set it for 8 hours? I guess I'll check in the morning.

We also went to church this morning and had a nice lunch with the rest of the congregation. It was pot roast, corn and mashed potatoes... and it was delicious. A nice sermon as well where the pastor discussed the way that Joseph honored God by obeying God, naming Jesus as God had ordered and marrying Mary despite the potential shame that could befall one who marries a woman who was pregnant... Today, this isn't such a big deal, but in those times... it was SOOO much worse. Just triggered some interesting thoughts for me.

Vikki started Christmas cards today. I'm contributing by putting the return addresses on them. Think it's cheating that I'm going to get labels and print them? I think not!

Did I mention it snowed last night and today? Depending on the surface, we accumulated about 0.25"-.5". Winter is here. I'm off to bed now though. G'night.

This is a test of the comment posting on blogger. This wasn't available when I first started using blogger more than a year ago. Today it is. Interesting if you ask me.
