And with this... I send to Vonage:
Frustration doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about the level of service that I have received from Vonage thus far with respect to my number transfer. While there is likely to be a significant savings when my number DOES FINALLY transfer... because of the delay in transfer... I'm currently paying over $100 a month for my phone service from two different providers. Vonage is COSTING me money. For a bit of back story... Verizon... I'm paying a small fortune to have the "Freedom" package... which gives me unlimited local, toll and long distance. When it comes down to it though... I want my number to transfer. People know our number for lots of different reasons and it is one of those things that you want to keep your old number. To do so... you have to go through a process called "Number Transfer". This was expected to take at least 20 business days. So... I expected that. But... at this point it has been 42 business days. Does this sound a little ridiculous to anyone else? The message quoted above was my plea to Vonage to do *something* about the problem... which has left me running around the house to answer two different phones... and paying a fortune for a service which I am trying to get rid of... but can't because changes in my old service may result in increased wait times for the number transfer. "Increased wait times"? Can you imagine waiting longer than 42 business days for somebody to complete something for you? Sheesh! This is truly ridiculous. I guess we'll see what Vonage does for me.
For two full months, I've been waiting for the transfer of my number to Vonage. That's an extra $160 that I expected to be saving by switching to Vonage! I believe in customer service going a long way towards keeping customers happy. Thus far... all I've gotten are replies passing the buck. Unacceptable. When are you going to do something about this for me?
