The plans for home renovations have been put on hold for quite some time since the income situation was in question. With me starting a new position on Monday... I ramping up my other income sources since I won't have the restriction of possibly disrupting my unemployment benefits. Don't get me wrong... I wanted to be off of unemployment asap... but the key being... I had to find something that was going to be able to support me at least as well as unemployment did. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to be doing everything that I want to do around the house do to being too short on funds. However, the hope is that the position (which I've been told... is ripe and waiting for me to grow out of... and expand) will come through and offer the sort of economic growth that I am expecting. Truthfully, unless it does... even if I *really* love it... I will need to find a way to seriously supplement my income. Likely, that will be done in the form of a PC repair business that I have long sought to start as well as selected consulting work. The goal is to get what I deserve in pay... not everything that the market will bear. The difference is that most PC Repair shops push beyond the price point for repair into the territory for replacement. A plan that simply canabalizes the PC Repair market in favor of the PC Replacement market.
